Allergy Testing

How is allergy testing at Integracare different than other clinics?

At Integracare we can do allergy testing for environmental allergens such as trees and molds, pollen, and dust as well as food allergy testing.  We utilize standard allergy testing similar to any allergy practice.  This is used to define what you might be allergic to and is usually used for environmental allergens.  From that we can devise a plan of treatment that may include periodic medication or supplement use, immunotherapy which can involve allergy injections or solutions, or we may recommend further testing.  We will reassess your treatment response periodically and adapt the treatment to help you respond more quickly and to a greater degree.

If standard allergy testing does not seem to take care of your symptoms as well as you and your treating doctors would like, we can do further study and tailor a program specifically to your needs.  We start with a baseline defined by standard allergy testing and then expand upon that information to define specifically how you react to allergens and irritants and customize your treatment.  With this technique, we have had great success in helping people improve upon their symptoms more quickly and with better satisfactions.

Bottom line is we start simple but have the ability to expand and adapt based on each patient’s specific needs, symptoms and response to treatment.  We feel our patients have a better overall response and are more satisfied with this approach.
